A billiards/pool game template for Unreal Engine: a pool table you can play. Drop BP_BL_Table in a level and add BPC_BL_Shooter to any pawn: aim the cue around the cue ball with the mouse, the keys or a gamepad, pull back for power (or use the power meter), put draw, follow or side spin on it, and shoot; the right button cancels a shot you are drawing. Press V to look at the table from each of the other balls before you shoot; after the hit the camera follows the cue ball, or watches from above. 8-ball, 9-ball and free play, two players on one screen, against the computer, or the computer against itself.

Its own ball physics. No Chaos: the table runs a 2D simulation in its plane, with sliding and rolling, draw and follow that come from the spin, side spin that changes the angle off a cushion, throw between balls, cushions and pocket jaws. Breaks spread, balls hang on the lip and rattle in the jaws, and the same shot always plays the same way, at any frame rate.

A shot guide from the same physics. The line to the first ball, a ghost ball exactly where the cue ball touches it, and both balls' paths after, curving with draw and follow. Full, Short, or Off for players who want none.

Rules and a computer player. 8-ball with groups (decided on the break, or an open table after it: a checkbox), ball in hand and a called 8; 9-ball with the lowest ball first; free play. Each foul (a scratch, the wrong ball first, no ball hit, no rail after the hit) is a checkbox in the menu and a setting on the table, and the rules and the computer player follow it. The rules are a component you can replace with your own game. The computer player tries every legal ball into every pocket, plays the best few ahead on the table, and misses by its difficulty: Easy, Medium or Hard.

Tables and looks. 7, 8, 9 and 12 ft tables, pocket size, cloth color and wood, five presets. Balls drawn in the material, numbers and stripes included, with no textures. Pocketed balls drop and roll out of the return into the tray.

Made for games. Events for potted balls, fouls, turns and the winner; play shots ahead from your own code; place, respot and read any ball. A HUD with power, spin, players, groups and the keys (hide them with H), and a menu for the game, opponent, difficulty, guide, table, keys, the view after the hit, the break and fouls. The demo is a small bar room.

Unreal Engine 5.8 complete project, Blueprint only, no plugins. Open the .uproject and press Play. Every graph is laid out in commented sections and every setting and function has a tooltip.
